Programme note: The piece Grönare än (Greener than) is based on Sappho’s poem fragment 31 and is divided in two movements.

Grönare än was written for the Nielsen International Chambermusic competition in 2023 and was the obligatory contemporary piece for the second round. It was performed by six wind quintets and has since been repeatedly performed by the Astera quintet and in 2024 was performed by the Esbjerg Ensemble.
